Bredenbury is a community of approximately 350 people, located 16 km southeast of Saltcoats.
Bredenbury has become known for its Christmas lights, having won the national title in the “Winter Lights Celebration” in 2001,2002, and 2005.
Bredenbury has a very active Lions Club, the Lions are involved in many of the community’s activities and raise funds for locally and worldwide humanitarian programs. Their focus is on youth and are known to support the school children in Saltcoats with such things as library resources, student leadership conferences, and large ticket items such as a gymnasium score clock.
Bredenbury defines what life on the prairies is all about; we celebrate our heritage, and continue the tradition of working together and helping our neighbours.
